The biggest and most competitive exam in the history of Bangladesh is BCS- Bangladesh Civil Service Exam. Millions of candidates apply every year. About 2 thousand get a chance to become a cadre.

How many hours to study for BCS?

BCS preparation:

BCS exam has 3 stages. Preliminary, Written and Viva Examination. Preliminary vaccine test only. Few candidates are selected through this test to narrow down the candidates. Your answer must be analytical. Do not write paragraph by paragraph. Examiner wants to see the points. So write in bullet point form. Maps, charts must be used. What you want to say, so that it can be understood through pictures or charts. Use of maps, charts will get you good marks. Give an introduction for each question. In the introduction, tell about how you are giving your answer. Conclusion must be added before finishing the answer. A short paragraph in your entire answer is the conclusion.

Remember, introduction and conclusion are important in the eyes of the examiner. If you do well in these two parts, no one will be able to stop you from getting good marks, inshallah. BCS Viva Preparation


Viva is the 3rd stage out of three stages of BCS exam. Viva has 200 marks. If you get selected in viva then your job is guaranteed. You have to prepare yourself long in advance for complete preparation of Vivar. Because there is no specific syllabus for Viva. So many questions are asked.


How to prepare for viva exam


1. Vivar Day Preparation: Know Bengali Date, Bengali Month Name, Bengali Year, Arabic Date, Month Name, Arabic Year of the day your Viva will be held. What are the main headlines of the leading English and Bengali newspapers on that day? If there is a historical event on that date, if possible, keep a detailed understanding of that event.


2.Know about yourself: Birth year, age as on date of birth, information related to famous and popular person in your name, historical places located in your district. Why is the place famous? One should know about one's family, profession of father and mother, good and bad aspects, hobbies, extra curricular activities etc.


3. Know about the educational qualifications acquired: Subjects studied in the subject in which you have obtained your degree, Chairman of the Department, VC of the University or Head of the Institution, First VC, Establishment Period of the Institution etc. Have a basic understanding of the subject you read.


4. Preparation to introduce yourself: It is important to qualify to introduce yourself in Viva Board. If you are asked to 'describe about yourself', you must describe it in English. Otherwise you can do it through any medium of Bengali or English.


5. Job Experience: Have you worked anywhere before? If you do now do not? And if you leave the job, you are asked about the reason for leaving.


6. Concept of History: The rule of Britain in Bangladesh, the ancient history of the country should be fully understood.

8. Current Government and Council of Ministers: What are the challenges of the current government? 9. Recent World and Current Affairs: Try to stay updated about the current happenings in the country abroad, including reading newspapers regularly. 10. Argument about the cadre of your choice: Have a clear idea about the 1,2,3,4,5 cadre of your choice. Like your 1st choice is administration cadre. In that case you will be asked about why administration is your first choice.


11. Pay attention to your dress and personality: Dress code is important in any job viva. Don't wear clothes that don't go with you on Viva Board. No need to look too smart. Wearing brightly colored clothes is foolish. Wear loose clothes. Girls should wear light colored sarees, while boys should wear black or solid color pants and white shirts.


Bank Viva Preparation 25 marks are allotted in bank viva exam. As in every viva field some basic questions are asked like tell about yourself, tell about your area, tell about educational qualification etc. These are all common questions. In Bank Vivar questions are asked from Banking, Fundamentals of Economics, Banking Sector, International Financial Institutions, Banking Terms and Choice. Primary Teacher Viva Preparation In the government primary teacher recruitment exam Viva is on 20 marks. Compulsory primary education in Bangladesh when? Who is the head of PTI? What is the name of primary digi? Why do you want to be a primary teacher? Viva Preparation Tips for Job Exam

One of the dreaded names in any competitive job exam is viva. Be it BCS, bank or any other type of job. Viva is actually a game of luck. If luck is with you then zero if you are not a hero. Still if preparation is good before going for viva board your confidence will increase. This confidence brings more than half of the success of any work.


A few tips from Vivar 

1. Get enough sleep the night before the viva. Revise the previous readings if possible.


2. Be stress free. Don't worry.


3. Know well about yourself, your district, liberation war, constitution and recent issues.


4. Formal dress will fall. Pack all the necessary things in advance.


5. Arrive at the center ahead of time. Leave the house with a certain time in hand.


6. Enter Viva Board with Salaam/Adab with permission. If the number of members in the board is more, if necessary, I will contact everyone again with salam / adab. Don't wear it after sitting down. If not asked to sit , stand. After more than 1 minute, the board chairman will sit with the permission of the members. If wearing a mask, do not open it until told to do so.


7. If you want to talk about yourself in Bengali, say it in Bengali. Don't speak English by yourself.


8. If any question is asked about mathematics in viva, answer it carefully. Can't take much time.


9. If you don't know the answer to a question, say "I don't know at this time sir" or "I "don't know sir". There can be no argument. How many questions answered in viva board is not seen. Rather it focuses on how you handle the viva session.


10. More erudition cannot be claimed. Don't show too much smartness .


11. Avoid regionalism. Answer all questions in pure Bengali language.
