Almost everyone has math fear. Very few candidates get good marks in maths in competitive exams like BCS. Mathematical Reasoning is one of the subjects that you must master in BCS Preliminary Exam. Because if you take good preparation in maths in Preli, you will get good marks in written exam too. BCS Maths Syllabus is very specific. 👉 The only way to do well in BCS Maths is practice, practice and practice. If you are weak in maths then seriously practice daily. Regardless of your status in math, set aside some time regularly for it.

👉 Check your level first at the beginning of preparation (BCS prostuti). If the skill level is very weak, then you can start preparation with class 5 books.
Practice doing numbers without a calculator.

👉 Keep the syllabus (BCS Math Syllabus) and practice chapter wise. Pay extra attention to important chapters.

Those who are weak in feasibility, format and assembly, can watch different Pathshala videos from Youtube.

👉 Identify relatively more and less important chapters by analyzing the chapter wise questions from previous BCS Prelims Exams.

👉 Analysis of BCS questions 35-43 shows that,

⇒ Simple and Binomial Inequalities, Algebraic Formulas, Logarithms, Exponents, Multiplicative Series, Parallel Series, Simple and Binomial Equations in Algebra almost every time one or more questions come from these topics. So they are very important.

⇒ In Arithmetic, questions come from the topics of LSGU/GSGU, Percentage, Simple and Compound Profit, Profit and Loss, Real Number, Ratio - Proportion. So they are very important.

⇒ Angles, triangles, circles, quadrilaterals are more important topics in geometry.

⇒ Almost every time there are questions from sets, collections, probabilities. So they should be read very seriously.

⇒ Lines, Pythagorean Theorem, Perimeter- Simple area and solids, Arrays, Statistics, Polynomial generators, Equations including simple are not many questions from these. So they can be said to be less important.
Finally, the more you learn math, the better your skills will improve. Check your preparation with 45 BCS model test as much as you can. Those who are good at maths can target 15th in this subject. But everyone should aim for atleast 10+. If you understand and practice well, you can easily get 12+.
